Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling

CPC31320 — Develop practical skills in wall and floor tiling for residential and commercial construction projects.

Overview

The CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling prepares students for a career as a qualified wall and floor tiler in the construction industry. This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to handle tiling materials, prepare surfaces, install floor and wall tiles, and apply waterproofing systems to industry standards.

Students will gain practical competencies across a range of tiling applications including decorative tiling, mosaic tiling, curved surface tiling, and tile repair — equipping them for careers as tiling tradespersons in both residential and commercial settings.

The program is delivered face-to-face over 52 weeks, comprising 40 weeks of training and assessment plus 12 weeks of scheduled holidays. The program consists of 17 core units and 3 elective units.

Entry Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age at the time of enrolment
  • Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent qualification
  • IELTS overall score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 (test taken within the last 2 years); accepted alternatives include TOEFL iBT score of 64, PTE Academic score of 50, Cambridge Advanced (CAE) score of 169, or Oxford Placement Test B2
  • Completion of a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment prior to enrolment
