Certificate III in Solid Plastering

CPC31020 — Develop the specialist rendering and plastering skills to prepare, coat and finish surfaces on residential and commercial buildings.

Overview

The Certificate III in Solid Plastering (CPC31020) is a trade qualification for solid plasterers working on residential and commercial buildings. The course covers the full breadth of the trade: handling plastering materials, preparing surfaces, applying float and render to straight and curved surfaces, laying set coats and trowelled texture finishes, and restoring and renovating existing solid plasterwork.

Delivered face-to-face at our Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses, the program balances essential construction knowledge — plan reading, levelling, measurement and workplace safety — with extensive practical bench and wall time so students build genuine hand skills and finish quality. Elective units extend into decorative mouldings, cast plaster blockwork, concreting and safe work at heights, reflecting the variety of work plasterers encounter on site.

Rendering and plastering skills remain in steady demand across Australia's housing and commercial sectors, and graduates finish the course job-ready, with the safety credentials and practical portfolio expected by employers.
